Everything You Need to Know about Walk For Water
What if I just want to walk without being timed? Is that an option?
Yes! No pressure to walk your fastest or have your pace timed. This is just a fun way for different people to compete or push themselves.
How do I sponsor a walker/runner?
Go to the Walk For Water Registration page, click “Register Today”, scroll down to “Sponsor A Participant”, enter “1” in the box, click “Continue”, follow the online directions.
Where and When do I get my race packet?
Each participant will receive a race bib (with a number), a timing chip, and event t-shirt. You can grab it at the PACKET PICK UP date: Friday, May 19th from 10 am – 6 pm at WEI Offices, 302 N. 78th Street, Seattle, 98103 (entrance at the rear of the building). OR you can pick up your packet at the Registration Table starting at 9 am on Race Day, May 20th.
What are my transport/parking options getting to the event?
There is ample parking at the entrance to Seward Park, with signs directing you to the event. There is no fee to park in the Seward Park parking lot.
What can/can't I bring to the event?
This is a family friendly event so feel free to bring your strollers! Dogs on leashes are also allowed. We will not have a bag/personal item storage location, so be sure to pack light or be okay with carrying your things.
The name on the registration/ticket doesn't match the attendee. Is that okay?
Yes. If you or your friend cannot make it, no problem. Feel free to pass your race number or packet on to someone else. If you have not picked up your packet prior to race day, present the name of the original participant at the Registration Table and you can use their race packet.
Do I have to bring my printed ticket to the event?
No. If you have not already picked up your packet, you will just need to present the registered name on race day and you will receive a race packet.
